Mode-Dependent Coupling and Vectorial Optical Vortices in Metallic Nanolaser Arrays

Abstract

We demonstrate both theoretically and experimentally that metallic nanolasers display different coupling behaviors depending on the vectorial electromagnetic modes within each nanocavity. Symmetric, antisymmetric, as well as vector-vortex lasing supermodes are observed in such structures.
