Tunable Orbital Angular Momentum Microring Lasers Using Chiral Exceptional Points

Abstract

A microring laser generating tunable orbital angular momentum states via chiral exceptional points is demonstrated. An incorporated inner S-bend waveguide construct provides an avenue to enforce unidirectional lasing in a predetermined manner.
