Abstract

A dual-spectrometer spectral-domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT) imaging system with large imaging area, high spatial resolution was demonstrated for pig anterior eye imaging ex vivo. Spectra from the two spectrometers are combined to achieve a 3.4 mm maximum depth range with an axial resolution of 1.86 µm (n=1.38) and lateral resolution of 1.96 µm in air. Comparing with the single spectrometer system, the maximum depth range and imaging depth in 6 dB roll-off of the proposed system were increased up 93% and 78% respectively. The performances of the proposed spectrometer were verified using pig corneal imaging ex vivo.
