Ultrafast leakage suppression in weakly nonlinear atomic qubits

Abstract

We propose and experimental demonstrate ultrafast coherent control scheme for leakage transition suppression through inducing destructive interference of constituent two-photon pathways in a three-level system of atomic rubidium, without disturbing resonant two-level qubit subspace operations.
