Abstract

Here we describe a compressive optical coherence tomography (OCT) system based on spectral domain random encoding (SDRE). To achieve random modulation of OCT signal for compressive sensing using hardware, SDRE disperses the broadband light, imposes spectral random modulation by a digital micromirror device, and enables full reconstruction of OCT signal that is undersampled by an electronic digitizer. Our experimental results demonstrated that CS allows information in OCT signal beyond Nyquist limit to be extracted.
