Abstract

We introduce a cost-effective organic-inorganic hybrid photonic integrated circuit suitable for coherent access networks and demonstrate a 3.5±0.3 dB power penalty, relatively to back-to-back, for 20 Gb/s QPSK transmission over 40 km of G.652 fiber.
