High Fidelity MMI Excitation Patterns for Optofluidic Multiplexing

Abstract

High fidelity interference patterns from multimode interference waveguides are needed for multiplexed optofluidic biosensors. Spot pattern fidelity can be optimized by careful design of the single-mode waveguides used to excite the multimode waveguides.
