Low-frequency suppression of classical laser fluctuations using hollow-core fibre

Abstract

We demonstrate classical laser amplitude noise suppression at 4.5 MHz using hollow-core free-boundary fibre. We attain suppression of 2.0 dB and get to within 0.2 dB of the shot-noise limit.
