Surface Magnon Polaritonics for Strong Magnetic Interactions with Light

Abstract

We propose using surface magnon polaritons, an electromagnetically dual concept to surface plasmon polaritons, to access normally very inefficient spin-flip and other magnetic spontaneous emission processes.
