Highly sensitive and robust refractive index sensing using a microfluidic chip with microfiber probe

Abstract

A microfluidic chip with multimode microfiber probe for refractive index sensing is proposed and experimentally demonstrated. A high RI sensitivity of ~2169.64nm/RIU with a good linearity ranging from 1.335 to 1.341 is achieved.
