Abstract

A temperature-insensitive intensity-interrogated fiber sensor based on exposed-core multicore fiber for refractive index (RI) measurement is demonstrated by etching a seven-core fiber. The RI sensitivity of −287.252 dB/RIU is experimentally achieved.
