Self-suspended Single-mode Microdisk Lasers

Abstract

We report subwavelength microdisk resonators suspended in air by connecting bridges. By optimizing the bridge configuration, we numerically and experimentally demonstrate mode selection and single mode microdisk lasers operating at near-infrared wavelength.
