Logic Gates based on Interaction of Counterpropagating Light in Microresonators

Abstract

We demonstrate a novel optical logic gate that is mediated by the Kerr effect of counter-propagating beams in a whispering gallery mode microresonator. The universal gate A &¬ B is presented.
