Resolving the temporal structure of noise-like pulse using a synchronized time magnifier

Abstract

The detailed temporal structures inside the noise-like pulses have been resolved in real time for the first time using a synchronized parametric time magnifier. Optical rogue waves have been observed under sub-ps temporal resolution.
