An iodine-stabilized laser at the telecom wavelength using a dual-pitch PPLN waveguide

Abstract

We demonstrate third harmonic generation of a 1542-nm laser using a dual-pitch PPLN waveguide with a chirped polling period. The laser is used for saturation spectroscopy of molecular iodine at 514 nm.
