Single-Molecule Super-Resolution Imaging of Molecular Orientation using a Tri-Spot Point Spread Function

Abstract

We demonstrate the use of an engineered Tri-spot point-spread function and a joint sparse deconvolution algorithm for imaging the positions and 3D orientations of single molecules. Our images reveal nanoscale order and disorder in DNA strands.
