Polarized Digital Holography as Valuable Analytical Tool in Biological and Medical Research

Abstract

We propose a new, simple digital holography-based polarization microscope for birefringence imaging of biological cells. Although further experimentation is required, the proposed approach could represent a potential label-free diagnostic tool for use in biological and medical research and diagnosis.
