Abstract

Rayleigh-Sommerfeld diffraction (RSD) is revisited as an accurate full-range alternative for numerical scalar diffraction calculations. Range and fidelity in phase retrieval of Angular Spectrum and Fresnel transform are contrasted to a GPU implementation of RSD.
