Integrated optical devices with nanoscale guiding layers

Abstract

The waveguides with negative dielectric cladding are investigated. For TM1 modes the thickness of guiding layer can be ten times smaller than the working wavelength. The band-passing, wavelength-response, and transmission loss properties are analyzed
