Generation of single-cycle attosecond pulses based on Thomson scattering of terahertz pulses

Abstract

According to calculations, single-cycle attosecond pulses can be generate with few nJ energy by Thomson scattering of terahertz pulse on ultrathin electron layer, produced by a laser-plasma wakefield accelerator and some suitable magnetic devices.
