Specialty fibers as optical components Nanowave Technology

Abstract

Inline optical components and devices are made with specialty fibers. While these components are similar to bulk optic and microwave components they often have unique features. The fabrication and applications of these specialty fiber components is emerging as a separate discipline which could be designated “Nanowave Technology”.
