Abstract

We present experimental results for guided-mode resonance filters that demonstrate simultaneous control over line shape symmetry, sideband levels, and pass-band width. Measured line shapes are nearly symmetric on a logarithmic scale with side-bands on the order of -20 dB and pass-band widths from 1.87 nm to 0.43 nm for filters operating near a wavelength of 1550 nm.
