Second Harmonic Microscopy of Collagen

Not Accessible

Your library or personal account may give you access

Abstract

Second harmonic generation in conjunction with laser scanning microscopy can be used to produce detailed images of collagen structure in tissue explants or even living animals. Fundamental principles that govern the directionality of coherent emission from a tightly focused beam can yield sub-resolution information when interpreting collagen images.
