Abstract

The hybrid input-output algorithm has been a well-accepted phase retrieval algorithm for image reconstruction from Fourier magnitude. An improved algorithm is presented which avoids some of the problems it can have with oscillating outputs. In contrast with hybrid input-output, its new input image is a continuous function of the output image.
