Abstract
We show experimental results for two types of optical processing using angular phase plates. The most common is a spatial filtering operation where the output is space-invariant and edge-enhanced. In this work, we introduce direct imaging of an object using a angular phase-plate lens. The output is now space-variant and severely distorted along the optical axis.
