The Fundamental Limit on the Resolution Density of Heterodyne Laser Radar Systems

Abstract

In this paper we develop a theory, using a heterodyne range detection scheme, showing that there is a fundamental limit on the resolution density that can be achieved in the range and spatial resolution of a LADAR system.
