Abstract

We report the fabrication and wave-guiding features of long-length low-loss all-silica holey fibers (HF) with solid core surrounded by cladding which is the triangular lattice of air holes of the diameter d (which can be varied at the fibers’ preparation from 1.7 to 4.5 µm) and the fixed (7 µm) spacing between the holes Λ.
