Chaotic wave scattering by asymmetric particles

Abstract

In the ray-optics limit, the ray dynamics inside an asymmetric particle becomes chaotic, strongly changing the scattering properties of the particle with respect to its "symmetric" analog. We describe the analytical approach, capable of finding the scattering magnitude of the randomly-shaped particles.
