Abstract

A digitally tunable laser using a ladder filter and a ring resonator has been developed. The widely tunable ladder filter selects one channel from the periodic channels of the ring resonator. The fabricated device connected with a fiber amplifier acts as a 31-channel 100-GHz-spacing digitally tunable laser.
