Abstract
High energy density science is an expanding area worldwide which has been given special priority in the US. A highlight objective is fast ignition of fusion. It uses the new technology of high energy petawatt class lasers as the fusion ignitor and is based on the challenging physics of huge currents of laser accelerated relativistic electrons.Full-text article is not available.
