The ability of multiphoton microscopy to image deeply into living tissue with minimal damage is revolutionizing life science microscopy. However, tissue induced aberrations degrade the image quality, similar to that of atmospheric turbulence on ground based telescopes. We have developed adaptive optical techniques to enhance in depth multiphoton microscopy.
