Kirkpatrick-Baez mirrors can efficiently condense x-rays and neutrons. Nondispersive KB x-ray optics with focal spots below 100 nm have been demonstrated and beams as small as 20 nm are possible. Similarly, KB-mirrors can focus neutrons to dimensions less than 100×100 square microns with performance limited primarily by the source brilliance.
