Optical Vortices in Intense Ultrashort Laser Field

Abstract

We report on generating spatial-chirp-free optical vortices in intense femtosecond laser radiation pulses. A holographic technique is employed to introduce a doughnut-type vortex into a fundamental mode of laser radiation.
