Enhancement Of Interferometric Precision Using Fast Light

Abstract

We show strong enhancement of interferometric precision by using fast light under critically anomalous dispersion in a dual-chamber Fabry-Perot-Interferometer with a shared mirrorpair. Enhancement as high as 109 is obtainable under realistic conditions.
