Discrete “Blocker” Solitons for Routing in AlGaAs Arrays

Abstract

“Blocker” solitons in coupled waveguide arrays are confined to a single channel. Their interactions with other beams enable reconfigurable all-optical interconnects, and were investigated experimentally for coherent copolarized, orthogonally polarized and incoherent beams.
