Simulation of Enhanced Backscattering of Light by Rigorously Solving Maxwell’s Equations

Abstract

We report a direct simulation of enhanced backscattering of light by numerically solving Maxwell’s equations without heuristic approximations. Furthermore, this new technique is robust and applicable to arbitrary geometries not amenable by other simulation techniques.
