A Nonlinear Optical Microscope by Use of Double-clad Photonic Crystal Fibers

Abstract

We report on a nonlinear optical microscope that adopts double-clad photonic crystal fibers. The detection efficiency is significantly improved by approximately 40 times compared with that in the single-mode fiber-optic microscope.
