Advances in Organic Semiconductor Lasers

Abstract

We report progress towards the realization of organic laser diodes. Optically pumped lasing in layer structures with metallic contacts is observed. Photonic crystals and photocrosslinkable polymers are identified as advantageous concepts for future injection lasers.
