Raman Amplification Applied to CWDM Systems

Abstract

We model a Raman amplifier suitable for Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexing (CWDM). Comparisons with laboratorial results show good agreement. Our model achieves an amplification window greater than 80nm, suitable for a four channel CWDM system.
