ASE Characterization of an Er3+-doped Microstructured Tellurite Fiber for Broadband Amplification at 1550 nm

Abstract

A preliminary ASE spectral characterization of an Er3+-doped microstructured tellurite fiber sample is presented by using a 980-nm pump laser. The amplifier presented a 3-dB bandwidth of around 70 nm, centered at 1545 nm.
