Measurement of the Coherency Matrix of a Stochastic Electromagnetic Broadband Beam

Abstract

The statistical ensemble of a fluctuating, statistically-stationary and partially polarized beam is presented in terms of 2×2 matrix, so-called coherency matrix. Here we present a method to measure the matrix elements of a broadband beam.
