A ray-based framework for propagating partially coherent field information through optical systems

Abstract

A technique based on angle-impact Wigner functions is proposed to ray-optically propagate scalar and electromagnetic nonparaxial partially coherent fields through optical systems composed of piecewise transparent homogeneous media.
