Creating Vortex Retarders using Photo-aligned Liquid Crystal Polymers

Abstract

We present developments using photo-aligned liquid crystal polymers for creating vortex retarders. Polarization properties of devices with different modes and theoretical and experimental point spread functions in Mueller matrix format for these components are presented.
