Ultrafast Dynamics of the Vibrations of Aqueous Azide Ion and the O-H modes of Bound Water Molecules

Abstract

Dual frequency two dimensional infrared spectroscopy has been used to investigate the dynamics of the azide-water solvation shell. A positive correlation of the two frequency distributions is found and decays on the ultrafast timescale.
