Wavelength conversion based on Stimulated Raman Scattering (SRS)

Abstract

We describe a scheme for wideband conversion of optical signals in optical fibers. The wavelength dependence and modulation speed of the process are investigated experimentally and theoretically, including the effect of the pump-probe velocity mismatch.
