Ultrafast All-Optical Demultiplexing By Using Multi-Section Semiconductor Optical Amplifiers in a M-Z Interferometer

Abstract

The performances of a 100Gb/s all-optical interferometric demultiplexer based on a multi-section SOA are numerically investigated. The 25Gb/s extracted signal exhibits a significant amplification, a very high extinction ratio, and no relevant pattern-dependence.
