Achieving Uniform Chromatic Dispersion over a Wide Wavelength Range in Highly Nonlinear Slot Waveguides

Abstract

We show dispersion-flattened silicon slot waveguides with high nonlinearity for on-chip signal processing applications, which exhibits a flat near-zero dispersion within ±0.12 ps/nm/m over a 302-nm wavelength range with nonlinear coefficient γ up to 4300 /m/W at 1550 nm.
