Optofluidic Tuning of MMI Bandpass Filter

Abstract

An optofluidically tunable multimode interference (MMI) bandpass filter is demonstrated. This scheme allows for a tuning range of almost 40 nm, which can be made continuous by increasing the liquid level around the multimode fiber.
