Optical Delay Line Elements Based on Leaky-Mode Resonance Structures

Abstract

Leaky-mode resonance bandpass filters are designed with particle swarm optimization. The spectral phase properties of these elements are studied. It is shown that these elements can operate as optical delay lines.
