Abstract

Long-range surface-plasmon waveguide sensors consisting of asymmetric double metal-films, a resonance grating and μ-fluidic channel sandwiched between the metal layers are described. 10-6 index resolution and sub-nm detection limit for sensing biomolecules are achievable.
